Scotland joining the UN

The Sunday Herald reports and features an article on the idea of Scotland applying for observer status at the UN.

This fits into the category of stupendous ideas that it's amazing no one thought of before.

Marco Biagi reckons the UK would block it. I don't think they could dare.

I'm sure you're right. If Brown tried to block it, it would damage Labour quite a lot in Scotland.

It will not make any difference to Muslims if Scotland joins the UN as Muslims do not respect the UN Conventions as they dress as women while sending out their children to be bombers. Muslims claim to be fighters however without recognisable uniforms such as the British, USA and other nations who's soldiers don't hide behind women dressed as tents and masks or claim to be civillians such as is normal in Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan

The stupendous idea of paying mandarins and politicians to go on tax-payer funded trips to New York to watch the curious machinations of a dysfunctional body?
