SCOTLAND UNITED AGAINST TERROR
Saturday 7 July 1.30pm
George Square, Glasgow
After the atrocious attack on Glasgow Airport on Saturday 30th June, communities across Scotland will stand united against the scourge of terrorism in all forms.
Show your support and take a stand against terror at George Square on Saturday. A significant day as it will be the second anniversary of the London Tube bombings and one week anniversary of the attacks on Glasgow Airport.
We will be remembering all the victims of terror and standing shoulder to shoulder with members of all faith communities, church leaders, trade unions, the Scottish Executive and the people of Scotland.
At a time when there are those who wish to divide us we must come together to show that there is only one division; the terrorists and everyone else – people of faith, non-faith, of all colours, races and genders.

Hi,
Just a message to thank the organisers of the rally this Saturday.
I am from the Scottish Socialist Party and we will be at the rally. If we can do anything else to help, get in touch.
Solidarity,
Carol Hainey

As a Kirk minister I hope to be there tomorrow. All of us, whatever our background or religion, must stand shoulder to shoulder as brothers and sisters against the evil in our midst. Thank you for organising this rally.

As a non-Muslim member of the community, I just wanted to say I this march is a fantastic idea and will send a very clear message to those who carry out such terrorist acts, and those who misdirect their anger at these outrages. Thank you.

I am an ex-patriate Scot living in Saudi Arabia, but I watch with interest everthing that is going on in my home country. I think your rally is a great idea and wish you and the community the very best of luck in getting your message across. For too long the ordinary, hard working, peaceful, law abiding and considerate people of your faith have kept silent. I think your message will be well received by all and that true meaning of Islam as a religion of peace and understanding cannot be subverted and abused by mass murderers and fanatics. Salaam Al akum.

I just wanted to say that I don’t understand why the terrorists are doing this. What do they hope to achieve. Any other terrorist groups I have heard of it has been quite clear what they hoped to achieve for example the IRA wanted a free Ireland the other side wanted the opposite. So if the terror suspects hoped to highlight their "cause" then they failed miserably because I still have absolutely no idea whatsoever why they are doing this. I don’t share any views of terrorists because to kill anyone is wrong whatever kind of terrorists you are and whatever cause you are fighting for. But I would like an answer as to "why are you bombing our country." Someone once said the pen is mightier than the sword. Well the voice is mightier than the bomb and when we all speak out together with one voice then we can stop terrorists. These terrorists have no voice or pen among good decent people of any religion and perhaps it is that lack of voice or pen that leads them to the conclusion that bombing is the only way to get their point (whatever it is) across. The problem is they haven’t realised that the good decent people of this world have no wish to listen to them preaching hatred or to read their hatred written down.
