A couple of months ago I bumped into Alex Salmond in Glasgow's George Square. He was recording some YouTube broadcasts, and was good enough to take the time out to recording something with me. You can view it here.
We talked about he state of community relations on the back of the Jack Straw niqab "debate".
For those outside of Scotland, Alex Salmond is the leader of the Scottish National Party, whom the polls show are on course for victory in next year's Scottish elections. If you're interested in moving to a country where the political leadership is as enlightened as this, please note that Scotland is welcoming of those wishing to bring their talent here.
Incidentally, Alex was nominated by the BBC Politics Show for their poll of political heroes - no mean achievement in a London based programme. You can vote among the final seven here.

You know I feel left out. The warmth of a leader of a Party especially in the West talking like that is amazing.
We need more Political figures like this, and I just made my mind up. Once I've finish University I wouldn't mind moving to Scotland.

An "accidental" meeting? Hmm, more like a photo-opportunity.
Yes, Alex, it's easy to criticise the government of the day. Just wait till your actually walking in their shoes. Of course Alex didn't actually say how he would personally deal with any of these issues, no. He might later be held to account.
And of course, there's that wee bit of arrogance from yourself Osama, "teaching people about liberalism". My mother always used to say that "converts" made the most inflexible Catholics. Scotland treats it's minorities well...... pardon!?!
Scotland, Europe's utopia. Yeah. When suicide-bombers kill themselves and murder others on Glasgows Underground, we'll see how "liberal" things are then. Maybe then Alex might consider security.
C'mon Osama, nothing was really said except to use the opportunity to make a few points about the failings of others, and please, never did anything sound so staged.
Och aye, lads and lassies, it's safe up here. Because the bombers are concentrating on the the Sassenachs, ye dinnae hav t'worry.

Osama,
Without even opening the video, the words 'Neil Kinnock', 'Roy Hattersley' and 'gay wedding' spring to mind...
