Hollywood luvvies have come together with Rupert Murdoch to sign a letter condemning Hizbullah and Hamas. It reads:
"We the undersigned are pained and devastated by the civilian casualties in Israel and Lebanon caused by terrorist actions initiated by terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah and Hamas.
"If we do not succeed in stopping terrorism around the world, chaos will rule and innocent people will continue to die. We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all costs."
The 38 signatories include actors: Nicole Kidman, Michael Douglas, Dennis Hopper, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Danny De Vito, Don Johnson, James Woods, Kelly Preston, Patricia Heaton and William Hurt.
And directors: Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Michael Mann, Dick Donner and Sam Raimi.

Well considering who owns Hollywood I cant say I'm shocked. Right wingers often say that Hollywood should keeps its opinions to itself...oh wait thats only for those who dont agree with their views.

Anything with Murdoch's fingerprints on it is highly suspect and should be treated with skepticism.
I wonder if Mel Gibosn signed it.

The overwhelming majority of people involved with Hollywood are narcissistic, deluded, superficial and uninformed. (And their movies are rubbish.) Their lives are one long publicity stunt.

Sylvester Stallone? Hmm. Now what do we have hear: "Ramboism" is one doctrine that fuels the engine of the emprine. No? Ok, how about the mujahideen brothers who used to be your comrades? "Stopping terrorism around the world": yo Rambo!

And Tasneem,
here in the UK this week TV viewers, again, get the chance to see the unmissable "Rambo III" film dedication to the 'Freedon Fighters of Afghanistan" soon to morph into 'terrorists' -
- oh well, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter!
- and Stallone was one of the Hollywood signatories you say - dedicating himself once again in the fight for freedom, I expect -
- who says people who read film credits are a bunch of boring anoraks?

Err, have you read "reel bad arabs"? As i have written in my appaling attempt of a blog, "The TV series Lost, for example, is supposed to be notable for its intelligence and astute observations, yet, of its multi-cultural cast, guess which one is the professional torturer?" Hollywood Hates arabs!
