You'll remember I blogged with concern at the detention for weeks by Israel of Islamic Relief worker Ayaz Ali.
He has now been freed (and deported despite there being no charges against him).
UPDATE: Ayaz speaks about his time in captivity to the Observer where he says he was frightened for his life:
Every day he was taken to an interrogation room to be questioned for up to 14 hours under bright lights by agents of Israel's internal security agency, Shin Bet, while handcuffed and shackled to a chair. When his interrogators deemed he was being co-operative, his handcuffs were removed; they were replaced when they believed he was not helpful.
'They were brilliant at playing mind games. They said they knew everything about me and they had been watching me for five months. They knew my wife was expecting a baby, and told me I would never see my baby. I just tried to be completely honest,' Ali said.
When Ayaz was visited by a British embassy official, the first thing he asked him was whether he had been tortured. Very telling.

Wow - I am incredibly honoured to be on your blogroll! I feel I should reciprocrate but I have a preference for keeping my own blogroll very short and sweet - though I did link you a while ago.
Anyway keep up the good blog-work.
Wassalam

Yes, guilty, I do enjoy reading about your global travails. Normally I don't go for personal blogs, as opposed to more informational ones, but yours is strangely captivating. Probably because you're actually out there doing something.
