Tumbleweed blows across Trafalgar Square

100_0537_1Lenin reports from the tiny "March for Free Expression" which was publicised by the likes of Peter Tatchell, Harry's Place, Maryam Namazie, Nick Cohen and the BNP on Saturday:

So where is it? Are they actually here? There's supposed to be a rally against Islam - sorry, for 'free expression' - but no one seems to be... is that it? That cluster of maybe 300 people over there? Apparently so.

I was disappointed, I tells you. You want to know how pathetic the turnout was? The BBC had to illustrate their coverage with a picture of the 20,000 strong rally against anti-Muslim racism last month.

Gene from Harry's Place laments that most that didn't attend will only sneer at the march. Seems that those who did attend are sneering too.
