Tumbleweed blows across Trafalgar Square
Lenin reports from the tiny "March for Free Expression" which was publicised by the likes of Peter Tatchell, Harry's Place, Maryam Namazie, Nick Cohen and the BNP on Saturday:
So where is it? Are they actually here? There's supposed to be a rally against Islam - sorry, for 'free expression' - but no one seems to be... is that it? That cluster of maybe 300 people over there? Apparently so.
I was disappointed, I tells you. You want to know how pathetic the turnout was? The BBC had to illustrate their coverage with a picture of the 20,000 strong rally against anti-Muslim racism last month.
Gene from Harry's Place laments that most that didn't attend will only sneer at the march. Seems that those who did attend are sneering too.
