The SNP’s candidate for Glasgow Central, Osama Saeed, has said he will open an office in the city centre if elected.
He said the move was long overdue as the one operated by the previous MP in the southwest of the constituency was difficult for people to access from the east and north and even for other communities on the southside.
Saeed commented:
“Many MPs struggle with where to situate their office so that it’s accessible to as many people as possible. This isn’t a difficult one in Glasgow Central though. All the trains, buses and the subway go to the city centre.
“I will represent all the communities of Glasgow Central. I know that having the office this open will lead to more work. But that is what I’m there for – to be a champion for the local people.”
Saeed said he will also hold regular surgeries in local community centres. The SNP candidate has already been holding surgeries to help constituents “let down by Labour complacency”.
