Osama Saeed, SNP candidate for Glasgow Central, has set up surgeries to help constituents.
The move has come he says due to demand for assistance on a wide variety of issues, and is a sign of how badly people are served by the current Labour MP. Saeed will be doing one surgery each week, while he says he will be able to do more and in more locations if elected.
"I'm often being contacted, stopped on the street or encountering people on the doorstep who are needing help or advice with matters they are facing difficulty or distress with", he commented.
"Mostly these issues are easily resolved or acted upon with reference to the SNP team in Glasgow Central - our councillors and MSPs with whom I work closely.
"I will do whatever I can just now for constituents but obviously I'll be in a much more powerful position if elected. I'll always be accessible to people, and pledge to be a strong local champion for them."
